When teenagers peak their growth spurt, they also experience changes in their jaws and teeth. Generally, teenagers have a complete set of adult teeth by the time they are 12 years old. However, some have to wait until about ages 13-15 before their milk teeth completely disappear. When one has almost all their permanent teeth, the teenage orthodontic treatment can begin and allow for precise and lasting alignment of the teeth.
