Jaw Pain
Malocclusion of the teeth, or insufficient contact between the upper and lower teeth can contribute to the development of temporomandibular joint problems, which result in jaw pain.
Jaw Pain, But Why?
Jaw pain is usually a result of various temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and/or bruxism (excessive teeth grinding and jaw clenching). These disorders are often hereditary. Other forms include creaking sounds accompanied by pain with or without difficulty opening your mouth, which can be caused by trauma or joint disease.
