Always passionate about his practice, Dr Alain Chaumont has treated over 5000 patients and counting in over thirty years of his career. Excellent precision, rigour, integrity, confidence and attentiveness are among the values that guide his practice and the relationship he establishes with his patients on a daily basis. Dr Chaumont and his team are committed to offering you the smile you've always dreamed of,  with high quality care and in a climate of confidence and trust.

Committed to keeping abreast in the field, Dr Chaumont is a member of several associations. They include the Association des orthodontistes du Québec, Canadian association of orthodontists and the Federation of dental specialists of Quebec. He also regularly refines his expertise through courses in continuing education and at national and international conferences.

With the intention to constantly offer the best orthodontic care to his patients, he discusses specific patient files that require special treatment at a bi-monthly study group with other orthodontists.

Your first orthodontic appointment

The first consultation at the orthodontic clinic will usually last 30 minutes. In order to establish a diagnosis and recommend the best treatment possible, you or your child must:

  • fill out a medical questionnaire
  • have a dental x-ray done
  • have your face photographed in various angles, if needed
  • have a clinical exam of the teeth and face done

Based on the information collected, you can then discuss the following with Dr. Chaumont:

  • Recommended treatment(s)
  • Preferred dental appliances
  • Treatment duration
  • Benefits and risks of treatment
  • Treatment cost and the payment options

Please note that during the first orthodontic consultation, children or teenagers must be accompanied by a parent or an adult in charge.
