Orthodontics Cost And Insurance

How much does orthodontic treatment cost? This is a question that often comes up. At Orthodontist Dr Alain Chaumont’s practice, we accommodate our clients with payment methods that suit their needs.

What is the price of Orthodontics?

One of the concerns our patients often have is how much their orthodontic treatment might cost them.

The cost of an orthodontic treatment is established and customized based on multiple factors, the main ones being:

  • the complexity of the problem to be treated

  • the patient’s age

  • the anticipated duration of the treatment

  • the type of braces used

  • the patient's expectations (treatment goals)

Payments for orthodontic treatments & insurance

Following an initial consultation with Dr. Chaumont, we are able to provide you a customized estimate specifying:

  • recommended orthodontic treatment(s)
  • type of braces necessary
  • treatment duration
  • treatment cost

We offer a host of different payment methods to make our orthodontic treatments as accessible as possible. For example, your payments can be made in monthly installments during the span of your treatment. We also accept payments by check or cash.

Insurances

If you have a private insurance plan that covers some orthodontic care, we will provide you with a general information form, as approved by the Canadian Association of Orthodontists. Please note Orthodontists do not get paid directly by insurance providers. Check with your insurance provider for terms of reimbursement.

Finally, orthodontic treatments are part of medical expenses that are eligible for tax deductions when you file your annual provincial and federal taxes.
